Waupun won the last time they faced Chilton and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 7-2. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Chase Beahm made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other pitching news, Landen Larsen looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
Back at the plate, Grahm Gopalan was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Gopalan is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Logan Prall also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Waupun hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Waupun's record is now 5-1. As for Chilton, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
Coming up, Waupun will look to defend their home field on Monday against Jefferson at 4:45 p.m. As for Chilton, they will head out to face off against Plymouth at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
