Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Hollister should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Reeds Spring at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
Hollister didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 26-31 to Marshfield last Friday. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Logan Armitage, who caught passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown, and sophomore Layton Morgan, who picked up 58 yards on the ground and accumulated 111 passing yards.
Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Reeds Spring as they fell 14-17 to Springfield Catholic. Reeds Spring's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Hollister took a serious blow against Reeds Spring the last time the two teams met, falling 6-54. Can Hollister avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
