With a playoff win on the line, Martinsville rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   12-9  victory over the Dieterich Movin Maroons. The  win was some much needed relief for the Bluestreaks as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
 The team  relied heavily on  Addi Adams, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024.  Harper Baird was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Martinsville's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Dieterich, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record  this season.
