The Central Gwinnett Black Knights were the 59-55 winner over the Collins Hill Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Central Gwinnett received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 68-54 to Collins Hill.
Despite the loss, Central Gwinnett still got an impressive performance from Timothy Smith, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Rideout, who scored 13 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Central Gwinnett now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Collins Hill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Gwinnett will take on Buford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central Gwinnett in Georgia (Buford is ranked ninth, while Central Gwinnett is ranked 223rd). As for Collins Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mountain View at 7:30 p.m.
