Central Valley lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Gonzaga Prep, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Bears were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over the Bullpups on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Central Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Gonzaga Prep, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Central Valley and Gonzaga Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Bears (ranked 35th) will meet Shadle Park (ranked 133rd) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep will square off against Lewis & Clark at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (6 vs. 175).
