Basketball Recap: Lexington Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a good run, but Lexington unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 62-50 to the Franklin Lions. The Eagles lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-0 score last time.

Lexington's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Lexington will venture away from home to challenge Thrall at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. Thrall has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Franklin, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Franklin Lions duke it out with the Rockdale Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Franklin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
