The Burlington City Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bordentown. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Burlington City of the 66-51 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 5th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bordentown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew DeCosta, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Eunmin Choi was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Burlington City has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for Bordentown, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Doane Academy the next time they take the court. Bordentown will host Doane Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Burlington City will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
