Softball Recap: UMS-Wright Prep Has No Trouble Against Murphy

UMS-Wright Prep won the last time they faced Murphy and things went their way on Thursday too. The UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the Murphy Panthers.

Kenleigh Hess was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Shepler, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The win got UMS-Wright Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Murphy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UMS-Wright Prep will venture away from home to challenge Bayshore Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Murphy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saraland at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th.
