The Sebastian River Sharks are taking a road trip to face off against the Astronaut War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sebastian River is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Sebastian River gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Treasure Coast by a score of 5-2.
Kiera Carow made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Carow was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Layla McKinney was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. McKinney is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Rily Biggers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Astronaut ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Cornerstone Charter Academy 8-7.
Riley Miller spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Arielys Rosado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacie Bunnell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Sebastian River's record is now 3-0. As for Astronaut, their record now sits at 1-0.
Sebastian River might still be hurting after the 10-3 loss they got from Astronaut in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Sebastian River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
