Sanger West barely beat Madera South the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stallions on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Sanger West not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Madera South between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

Sanger West's offense was headlined by Maiya Potter and Addison Muehlhaus, who picked up six kills apiece. They were helped by Ariel Vang and Maddilynn Villarreal Puga, who contributed ten assists each. Kianna Charfauros controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Madera South still got an impressive performance from Liyah Chavira, who had 20 assists and four digs.

Sanger West has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Madera South, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Sanger West has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Exeter on the 19th. As for Madera South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Madera on the 21st.
