Galloway and Athens Academy squared off in some playoff action  on Wednesday, but Galloway had to settle for second. They fell  3-1 to the Spartans. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Galloway was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Athens Academy work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14, 19-25,  25-17.
 Athens Academy found their leader in freshman  Riley Muir, who  had 11  digs and two  aces. Muir is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last four games she's  played.
Galloway's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Athens Academy, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record  this season.
 Galloway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Athens Academy, they will face off against Lovett at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
