West Laurens is 7-2 against Howard since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The West Laurens Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Howard Huskies at 7:30 p.m. West Laurens is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, West Laurens suffered a rough 32-7 defeat at the hands of Baldwin. While losing is never fun, West Laurens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Baldwin is ranked 125th).
Meanwhile, Howard had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Griffin by a score of 28-21 on Thursday.
Howard relied on the efforts of Jacolbie Allen, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and Ethan Ellington, who rushed for 41 yards and three touchdowns.
Baldwin's victory bumped their season record to 5-3 while West Laurens' loss dropped theirs to 2-6.
West Laurens might still be hurting after the 31-7 defeat they got from Howard in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will West Laurens have more luck at home instead of on the road?
