Make it 11 blowout wins for the Bisbee Pumas this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Valley Union 70-40 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Bisbee who now have three in a row.
Bisbee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sebastian Lopez led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Lopez hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jose Mendez, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Bisbee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Valley Union, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
Bisbee will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morenci will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Valley Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
