Cedar Grove is 9-1 against the Astros since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. A well-balanced attack led Cedar Grove over the Panthers in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Cedar Grove blew the Panthers out of the water with a 77-21 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-12.
Cedar Grove's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Norval Rhodes, who scored 23 points, and Emmanuel Green, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dontavius Stringfield, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Douglass' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sandy Creek. While losing is never fun, Douglass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Patriots are ranked fourth).
