Greer (S.C.) took the lead for the win when
Quez Nesbitt ran for a touchdown with 7:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Emerald (Greenwood, S.C.) 34-30 on Saturday.
After nabbing the lead on a field goal, the Vikings went into halftime with a 23-22 lead. The Yellowjackets took the lead for good with a Nesbitt touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Greer, which was coming off a 10-9 defeat at the hands of Blue Ridge in its previous game.
