Orosi hasn't had much luck against Lindsay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Orosi will head out to take on Lindsay at 4:00 p.m. Orosi is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Orosi turned things around against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-10 margin over the Bears. The Cardinals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 19-7).

Miah Lopez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Makayla Soto was incredible, going 2-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Krystyn Zamora, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Orosi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .521. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lindsay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Granite Hills.
Isabelle Centeno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits.
On the hitting side, Sophia Macias Jauregui made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayleigh Tenorio, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
Lindsay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16-1. As for Orosi, their record now sits at 8-18-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Orosi has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lindsay struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Orosi took their victory against Lindsay in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 11-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orosi since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
