Chickasaw barely beat Fruitdale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chieftains blew past the Pirates 48-20 on Friday. The Chieftains' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Although Fruitdale took the loss, they still got scores from Landin Holland, Elijah Reed, and Jacob Wilson.

Chickasaw's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Fruitdale, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chickasaw will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fruitdale, they will square off against Southern Choctaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 5.6 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them.
