They walked away with a 35-23 victory over Blue Ridge Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Shawnee Mission Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Emily Kleczka, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Shawnee Mission Christian's points. Jeydan Umberger was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Shawnee Mission Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Shawnee Mission Christian will face off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Blue Ridge Christian will be home for the holidays to greet The Daniel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
