Manhattan had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Brush Beetdiggers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Manhattan's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Brush, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Manhattan will head out on the road to face off against Great Bend at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Brush, they will be playing at home against Life Prep at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Fire have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
