The Newtown Nighthawks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past Cromwell 48-20 at home. For Newtown, this counts as revenge for the 44-26 loss Cromwell walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Newtown's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. As for Cromwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Newtown will head out on the road to face off against West Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cromwell, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Morgan at 7:00 p.m.
