It's playoff time, and East Kentwood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Grand Ledge Comets 49-15. Considering the Falcons have won seven contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

East Kentwood pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.4 points on average over those games. As for Grand Ledge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.

East Kentwood will venture away from home to challenge Howell at 1:02 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Highlanders have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games. Grand Ledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
