It was a good run, but the Bingham Miners unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Mountain Ridge by a score of 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bingham's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke West, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. West is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Stockton Tueller was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Mountain Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Lindsay, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Krainich, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Bingham's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mountain Ridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.
Bingham will head out on the road to square off against Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Herriman will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Mountain Ridge will take on Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Corner Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
