Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Mill Valley Jaguars walked away with it. They blew past Spring Hill 56-7 on the road. Considering Mill Valley has won seven matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mill Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Baker, who rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 72 receiving yards. Baker's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Daniel Blaine, who threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes.
The victory was the third in a row for Mill Valley, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.67 points. As for Spring Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Mill Valley will square off against Seaman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seaman is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Spring Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
