The El Dorado Christian Buffalos lost against the Berean Christian Academy Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. El Dorado Christian had to suffer through a rough 59-17 loss at the hands of Berean Christian Academy. El Dorado Christian has struggled against Berean Christian Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, El Dorado Christian saw an underclassman step up: McKenzie Cole scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Cole has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played.
El Dorado Christian's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Berean Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado Christian will square off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Berean Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Southern Missouri RUSH at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
