MICDS entered their tilt with Whitfield on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 on Tuesday.

Garrett Liberman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brian Gould, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 4 RBI per game. Eliyah Powell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

MICDS' win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Whitfield, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
