The Furtah Prep Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 59-40 fall against Dominion Christian. Furtah Prep has not had much luck with Dominion Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Dominion Christian to victory were Emory Maiyer and Elizabeth Johnson. Maiyer scored 17 points along with six assists and four steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. The game was Maiyer's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Lytle, who scored eight points.
Furtah Prep bumped their record down to 3-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Dominion Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Furtah Prep will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Heritage Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. Heritage Preparatory is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Dominion Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
