After six games on the road, Stockdale is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Marion Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Stockdale's 22-10 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Blanco on the road by a decisive 60-41 margin on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Stockdale has lost by exactly 19 points.
Meanwhile, Marion's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 61-53 to Fredericksburg.
Richard Rayos put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 25 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Stockdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Stockdale didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Marion when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win. Will Stockdale repeat their success, or does Marion have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
