Chisholm Trail and Aledo are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. The Rangers will be playing at home against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chisholm Trail has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Chisholm Trail came up short against Brewer on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Rangers have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Meanwhile, Aledo's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Brewer a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Bearcats have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to TEMPE PERRY's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on KYLEIGH PAWLAK, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of DELANEY ROSSER, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Aledo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Aledo pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chisholm Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1.
