Baseball Recap: Bradford Wins Going Away Against Middleton

Bradford won the last time they faced Middleton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-4 victory. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Jax Richardson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Bradford is 8-3 when Richardson posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Austin Skerrett was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Bradford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Bradford's record now sits at 12-8. As for Middleton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradford will venture away from home to square off against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middleton, they will head out to challenge Fayette Ware at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
