Kimball got a massive performance out of Ja'Nijae Buchanan, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave Buchanan a new career-high. Saniyah Speech was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Buchanan wasn't the only one making solid contact: Kimball kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Kimball's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Pinkston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
