Baseball Recap: Evart's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After a string of seven wins, Evart's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the McBain Ramblers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lucas Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.

Evart's loss dropped their record down to 12-5-1. As for McBain, they moved to 6-4-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Evart will face off against Reed City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McBain, they will take on Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
