After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denver City, Lamesa was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Compass Academy Cougars as they made off with a 19-4 victory. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The win snapped Lamesa's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-9 record. As for Compass Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lamesa will face off against rival Crane at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Compass Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Brownfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
