The Wesclin Warriors were the 43-29 winner over the Red Bud Musketeers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Wesclin fell to Red Bud 54-48. Wesclin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Red Bud's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Talia Carter, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Lyla Hess was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Wesclin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Red Bud, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Wesclin will be playing in front of their home fans against Carlyle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Red Bud is on the road again on Monday and play against New Athens at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th. New Athens is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
