The Cupertino Pioneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Independence on the road to the tune of 66-25. With that win, Cupertino brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Soham Nighojkar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Max Lin, who scored ten points.
Independence lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joshua Villanueva, who scored ten points. Villanueva scored a full 40% of Independence's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cupertino's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
