Juarez is 1-9 against Kelly since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Juarez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Juarez's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Dunbar as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Adrian Davila

| 03/17/25 @ Cristo Rey Jesuit | 2 |
Adrian Davila made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Juarez is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-3 otherwise. Davila was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, Juarez got a massive performance out of Jose Paredes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Paredes has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Esteban Morales, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Juarez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Kelly's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against ACERO Garcia, falling 12-6.
Like Juarez, Kelly also got a great game from a two-way player: Alfredo Socorro. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest hits Socorro has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with six stolen bases and three runs. Socorro is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Arturo Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Kelly's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Juarez, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Juarez has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kelly struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Juarez might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Kelly in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
