Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Cleveland Cavaliers walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Kennedy 56-21 at home. The result was nothing new for Cleveland, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Kory Hall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 295 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Hall was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Powell, who rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Montes, who threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Cleveland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Kennedy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Cleveland will face off against Banning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Banning is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
