In what's become a running theme this season, the Monsignor Pace Spartans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Marathon 66-27 on the road. The win was nothing new for Monsignor Pace as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Alessandra Bonilla continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chesley Gachette, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Monsignor Pace pushed their record up to 18-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Marathon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monsignor Pace will take on Palm Beach Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Palm Beach Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Monsignor Pace is ranked 45th). As for Marathon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Brendan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
