There's no place like home for The Buhl Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down Filer 41-24 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Buhl, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Buhl got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Finley out in front who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Riley Brunson was another key contributor, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Talyn Weaver and Tristan Rea, Filer certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Weaver picked up 124 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Rea threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns.
Buhl has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Filer, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Buhl will head out on the road to face off against McCall-Donnelly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (McCall-Donnelly is ranked 34th, while Buhl is ranked 45th). Filer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
