The Chattanooga Prep Sentinels entered their tilt with the South Pittsburg Pirates with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Chattanooga Prep snuck past South Pittsburg with a 54-48 victory on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chattanooga Prep also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Chattanooga Prep was led to victory by Ta'Suade Williams and Derrick Roberson. Williams scored 17 points along with five assists, while Roberson scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roberson has scored all season.
Chattanooga Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for South Pittsburg, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattanooga Prep and Copper Basin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Copper Basin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for South Pittsburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Sequatchie County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
