The Suitland Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Northwestern Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Suitland has four straight wins, Northwestern has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Suitland didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Parkdale, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory.
Meanwhile, Northwestern took a serious blow against Wise on Thursday, falling 77-42. While losing is never fun, Northwestern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Wise is ranked 44th).
Suitland's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Northwestern, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Suitland against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 64-28 victory. Will Suitland repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
