The Olentangy Braves won the last time they faced the New Albany Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Olentangy put the hurt on New Albany with a sharp 48-23 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Olentangy.
Olentangy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Whitney Stafford, who scored 16 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Stafford has scored at least 25% of Olentangy's points. Another player making a difference was Chayla Rankin, who scored 13 points.
Olentangy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for New Albany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olentangy will take on Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Albany, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Tri-Valley at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th.
