Softball Recap: Oneonta Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Oneonta had lost eight games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-5 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Sidney Team 14-2. For the Yellowjackets, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Team walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2019.

As for Sidney, they now have a losing record of 4-5. The contest marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

For Sidney's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Young, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Oneonta and Sidney will both be playing Johnson City the next time they take the field. The Team will head out to face the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Yellowjackets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
