Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Crane Medical Cougars walked away with it. They secured a 57-53 W over the Warriors on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for Crane Medical as they're now sitting on five straight.
Crane Medical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dontea King, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. King is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brad Blackman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.
Crane Medical has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Crane Medical will head out on the road to square off against the Champions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lane Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully the Cougars likes a good challenge. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they will be playing at home against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Perspectives-IIT/Joslin is ranked 230th, while the Warriors are ranked 212th).
