Willapa Valley found their leader in underclassman Blane King, who scored 18 points along with two steals. King hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ryan Blankenship, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Three Rivers Christian's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.4 points per game. As for Willapa Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Three Rivers Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Washington School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Washington School for the Deaf is ranked 353rd, while Three Rivers Christian is ranked 378th). As for Willapa Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Firm Foundation Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
