Even though Ohio Valley Christian scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Hannan Wildcats still came out on top. Hannan took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 94-58 victory over Ohio Valley Christian. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-29.
Hannan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Chapman, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals. Philip Fugett was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with 4 steals.
Ohio Valley Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bo Danner, who scored 21 points, and Austin Beaver who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Nate Burgess, who scored 8 points.
Hannan's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Ohio Valley Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannan will face off against Rose Hill Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ohio Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
