The First Academy Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles. Hopefully First Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
First Academy struggled with threes on Monday (Appling Christian Academy had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The contest between the pair wasn't particularly close, with First Academy falling 56-40.
Despite the loss, First Academy saw an underclassman step up: Logan James dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points James has scored all season. Warren Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, First Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian Academy was beaten by Coastal HomeSchool 100-30 last Tuesday. Heritage Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-21.
First Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
First Academy was taken down by Heritage Christian Academy 50-14 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can First Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
