The team also got some help courtesy of Gemaiyia Johnson, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks.
Douglas Byrd's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Gray's Creek, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Douglas Byrd will be playing at home against the Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cape Fear's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for Gray's Creek, they will head out on the road to take on the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lumberton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
