The Dawson Eagles and the Clear Creek Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Dawson Eagles had to settle for second. Dawson took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clear Creek.
Despite the loss, Dawson still got an impressive performance from Bryce Burgess, who rushed for 132 yards. Burgess was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Dawson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Clear Creek, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Dawson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clear Creek will take on Summer Creek at TBD on Friday. Summer Creek is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
