The Wolfe County Wolves will face off against the Jackson County Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wolfe County has six straight victories, Jackson County has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Wolfe County made easy work of Letcher County Central and carried off a 13-4 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Camden Oliver and Chance Fallen were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Oliver pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Fallen pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Oliver posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Oliver got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Fallen went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Fallen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Max Whisman was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Molands, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Wolfe County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Letcher County Central only posted an OBP of .310.
Meanwhile, Jackson County didn't have quite enough to beat Madison Southern on Monday and fell 5-3.
Wolfe County's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
