SCISA 8-Man Region II (8 Man) recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in SCISA 8-Man Region II (8 Man) this week, Carolina Academy beat Cathedral Academy 56-18. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Bobcats.
Clarendon Hall made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 652 from 711. The improvement was the result of a 50-20 victory over James Island Christian last week.
The Saints' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dustin Way threw for 64 yards and Gavin Allan had 26 yards receiving. On the ground Tilton McCrea chipped in 195 yards. McCrea helped Clarendon Hall's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 26 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, King Academy's Alex Berry and Caleb Fulmer have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Berry has thrown for 1,134 yards this season, while Fulmer has 34 catches for 531 yards. Billy Carlisle's team's McCrea leads the league in rushing yards with 1,209.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Carolina Academy and Wardlaw Academy. The Bobcats enters the game ranked second in the state, while the Patriots ranks third.
Price Carpenter of the the Knights is just 20 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Carpenter has rushed for 980 yards on 93 carries so far this year.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when King Academy's Fulmer goes up against Clarendon Hall's Wes Keller.
Next week's game between Zach Matthews' team and the Saints will feature an aerial matchup as Berry tests his arm against Keller's defensive ability.
There should be lots of points scored when the Knights and Clarendon Hall face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, King Academy comes in having scored 507 this season, while the Saints have scored 456. The Knights scored 46 points last week as they bested Beaufort Academy.
